Covid-19 Check-in

Procedures & Logistics:

  1. Workshops will have no more than 12 children and all programming will be outdoors in tents. In the case of extreme weather, that day of camp will be cancelled or rescheduled in advance. There will be no refunds for any cancelled days.

  2. We will take each child's temperature at check-in every day. Those exceeding 99 degrees will not be admitted.

  3. Children and instructors will wear face masks at all times. If a child needs a mask break, we will have a designated spot away from the group where they can take a break for few minutes.

  4. Programs will be 2 hours to minimize the need for snacks and restroom use. A staff member will wipe down all restroom surfaces with disinfectant after every use.

  5. Each child will have their own space to keep their water bottle in for the week.  If they are thirsty, they can step away from the the group and remove their mask temporarily. Children should be given a substantial breakfast to minimize the need for snacks. We will keep prepackaged pretzels on hand for emergencies, but WILL NOT  be having an official group snack time.

  6. We have 2 large tents which will seat up to 12 children.

  7. Waivers must be signed by parents.

FALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

For now, our workshops will be held outdoors in our backyard workshop tents. Our schedule below is for September-November, weather permitting. If weather is too severe, we will notify parents of a cancellation. Classes cancelled due to weather will not be refunded or rescheduled. Every attempt will be made to conduct classes outdoors. We’re “makin’ hay while the sun shines!” We do hope to bring classes indoors soon but are waiting to make that decision. Procedures for check-in are at the bottom of this page.

If a workshop fills and you’d like to be contacted if a spot opens, please fill out the waitlist at the bottom of this page.  We are hoping to open indoor classes in December....stay tuned.

Interested in hosting a Westy-Workshop for 8 in your yard or driveway?

Starting September30, we are taking the workshop on the road in our Westfalia BitsMobile! We can seat 8 children for a 1.5 hour outdoor workshop. This is great for birthday parties or after school workshops. We just need a driveway or a parking spot on the right hand side of the street and pretty good weather. Our van’s awning will fend off a little drizzle, but not a storm. Call or email Liita for details:

liita@thelittlebitsworkshop.com  630-309-1606

Westy-Workshops start at $250 per class.
